Ich finde das Buch sehr toll und lese immer mal wieder rein um die Gedanken, die einem mitgegeben werden nicht zu vergessen. Die 10 'Must Reads on Strategy' sollte man wirklich gelesen haben, wenn man sich für die Strategie und Entwicklung einer Strategie im Unternehmen interessiert. Einige interessante Perspektiven werden erklärt und analysiert. Ich finde das Buch gibt einen sehr guten Überblick. (Buch ist auf Englisch)English Version:I really liked the book and I think every person who is involved in the strategy part of a company should at least have a look at it. It gives a general overview and interesting perspectives. The typical good quality of HBR!
The book has great articles but most of them do not reflect anymore the changing nature of strategy (away from supply chain thinking towards Value Creating Systems/ Business Ecosystems). It was a fun read and I took many notes. I recommend it to my students in combination with more up to date literature to show the quick movement of the field of strategy.
The selection of articles is undoubtedly great and ultimately I found the content informative, however the Kindle medium was a disappointment. The said articles are written for the glossy magazine format, meaning that the content includes lots of breakouts, graphics and rubriks. The way these were included in the kindle and the readability of the graphics left a lot to be desired. In the end I ended up paying for a table of contents and then used my institutional HBR account to download and print out the originals.
Excellent overview on the main ideas behind strategy! A must read for strategy students and leaders willing to evaluate their strategy and get new idea!
I am currently writing my MBA thesis and this book offers what I think is a good compilation of key strategic thinkers and ideas, although like most HBR publications, it tends to be boring and is more about substance than style.
