Ich habe dieses Buch schnell weggelesen, und die ganze Zeit über hörte ich in meinem Kopf Ryder Carrolls Stimme, die ich ja aus seinen BuJo-Videos kenne - war schon irgendwie lustig. Wer jetzt erwartet, 200 Ideen für neue Spreads zu bekommen, der wird enttäuscht sein. Wer aber wissen will, wie die Methode wirklich funktioniert und was dahinter steckt, der wird das Buch lieben. Ich gehöre zur letzteren Gruppe.
Ryder Carroll stellt uns mit seiner Bullet Journal Methode ein kraftvolles Werkzeug zur Verfügung, mit dem wir unser Leben organisiert kriegen. Dabei setzt er auf Stift und Notizbuch.Im Zentrum steht das Rapid Logging, das schnelle Festhalten von Aufgaben, Terminen, Gedanken/Notizen etc. auf der Ebene der täglichen Einträge. Hier kommen die von ihm entwickelten Aufzählungszeichen (Bullets) zum Einsatz, die dem System seinen Namen gegeben haben und die schnell erkennen lassen, worum es sich bei einem Eintrag handelt.Oberhalb dieser Ebene greifen in ausgeklügelter Weise Zukunftsplanung (Future Log), Monatsübersicht (Monthly) und ggf. Wochenübersichten sowie der zentrale Index ineinander, um das Leben mit all seinen Anforderungen im Griff zu haben.Das Bullet Journal ist dabei ein "Catch all" für alle Gedanken, Planungen, Protokolle, Tracker und unterscheidet sich dadurch stark von herkömmlichen vorgedruckten Kalendern. Jeder Tag erhält genau so viel Platz, wie er benötigt; neue Themen beginnen unkompliziert auf der nächst freien Seite und werden im Index verzeichnet.Ich arbeite schon lange nach dieser Methode, die bislang über die Website des Autors publiziert wurde, und habe damit ein geniales, funktionierendes, auf meine Bedürfnisse passendes (oder, da sehr flexibel: auf sie anpassbares) System gefunden, um den Überblick über die täglichen Anforderungen zu behalten. Trotzdem bietet das Buch auch für bereits Praktizierende mit seiner systematischen Darstellung und den Anregungen für Planungen längerfristiger Ziele nochmal einen Mehrwert, der die Anschaffung lohnt.Fazit: Wer die Methode selbst im Sinne des Erfinders erlernen will, ist hier goldrichtig und kann nochmal neue Einblicke gewinnen, die helfen, das eigene System optimaler anzupassen. Nur wer unter dem Begriff des Bullet Journals eher einen dekorierten, selbst vorgemalten Kalender versteht, wird enttäuscht werden: Zu Deko ist hier nichts zu finden.
Ich benutze schon sehr lange ein BuJo und habe mir bereits alle möglichen Artikel und Blogeinträge von Ryder Carroll durchgelesen, trotzdem war dieses Buch ein lohnenswerter Kauf. Die erste Hälfte steigt zwar langsam mit den Basics ein (was ja auch gut so ist), aber auch da und in der zweiten Hälfte habe ich viele tolle Denkanstöße und Techniken zum Ausprobieren gefunden. Ein bisschen Selbstbeweihräucherung zwischen durch, aber es wird immer wieder in den Fokus gerückt das es keine One-Size-Fits-All Antwort gibt, sondern dass man für sich selber herausfinden muss was man braucht, und was nicht. Das Lesen hat mich auf jeden Fall inspiriert meine ganze BuJo-Technik nochmal aufzukrempeln und zu hinterfragen, um das meiste daraus zu holen.Lohnt sich also sowohl für Leute, die Bullet Journaling anfangen möchten, als auch die die es schon länger betreiben!
Gute Starthilfe für Bullet Jounaling. Ich werde sicher meine Erfahrungen damit machen. Sehr verständlich und kurzweilig geschrieben. Passt sehr gut in den agilen Kontext.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book I bought w/o much expectations.The book explains in a clear way how to setup a good structure and utilize rapid logging for making/organizing notes/todos.It also suggests a reasonable workflow.Within a week I transformed my paper notebook to a BuJo and am quite happy about the outcome ever since.If you want to add a BuJo to your productivity techniques I highly recommend it.
